Season's Greetings! 25 Dec 2020

Season's Greetings!

The Christmas season, for many, is a time of reflection on the memories of the year that has just passed, and a time to look forward to the hope and promise that a new year brings. As I reminisce on all the events of 2020 a message of resilience and gratitude comes to mind.

This year, COVID-19 has tested our resolve to do the right thing. In March - with the shock of the announcement of a pandemic - our priority was the safety of our staff, our customers and our trades and suppliers. Within 24 hours of the declaration, we successfully mobilized our office to work from home. In short order, we developed safety protocols for our construction sites and began to implement virtual processes to meet with our customers and teams remotely. This meant that we had to accelerate our use and acceptance of virtual technologies at a pace we had never experienced before. As the crisis evolved, we continued to adapt with the support, patience, and understanding of everyone involved. Resilience.

Our successful navigation of the situation to date was made possible thanks to everyone involved with our processes. To our homebuyers and homeowners - we thank you for your commitment to the process and for embracing the adaptations we quickly implemented to support you in your homebuying journey and home ownership. To our trades and suppliers – we thank you for trusting us and respecting our decisions to implement strict protocols to keep all our sites safe. This would not have been possible without our strong alignment in values. And finally, I’d like to say thank you to our staff. In a time when we needed to show our commitment to our customers and to each other – you did whatever it took and had each other’s backs – we did it together! Gratitude.

2021 will undoubtedly bring new challenges but most importantly, it will also bring hope. We must pray for the safety of those working on our frontlines that sacrifice so much for the rest of the community. We must pray for our leaders, that they steward our province and our country to a safe recovery. I pray for you, that you may continue to stay safe physically, strong mentally and full spiritually.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Have faith, and we will get through this together.

Wishing you many blessings and a Happy New year!

Howard Tse,

President of Cedarglen Homes.
