Purchasing a new home is one of the most important decisions a person will make in their life. When building a new home, you have the flexibility to choose a builder that best suits your needs, so it is important to know what to look for.

Experience

By choosing a qualified builder that has been in the industry for a long time, you can rest easy knowing that they understand what is takes to be successful long term. This means continuously providing high quality homes and an enjoyable customer experience, while simultaneously innovating and staying up to date on all the latest trends. A company that has been in the industry for awhile has had the opportunity to build strong relationships with suppliers and has been able to overcome common issues that may arise throughout the homebuilding process. For more than 35 years, the Cedarglen name has defined the art and science of new home building for thousands of Calgarians. We have become a reliable builder that homebuyers can count on to guide them through the homebuilding process from start to finish while delivering exceptional results.

High Standards

Industry standards are often basic guidelines to what you deserve in a new home. However, successful builders will often go one step further and offer higher standards to ensure that your home is of the highest quality. At Cedarglen Homes, we offer superior standards that focus on uncompromising workmanship, timeless designs and the latest building technologies. Talk to one of our Area Sales Managers for more information on our fantastic standard specifications.

Sustainability

We are all conscience of our lifestyle and the impact it has on the environment therefore we are more inclined to make socially responsible decisions. Cedarglen Homes recognizes the importance of preserving our environment for future generations which is why we use the government-backed EnerguideTM rating scale on all our homes. This investment made in energy efficiency at the construction stage will pay off in lower energy bills once your move into your home, as well as increase your home’s resale value when you’re ready to purchase a new Cedarglen home.

Large Selection of Model Homes

When you are looking for a new home, it is nice to know that you have a wide range of models to choose from and that you aren’t limited to the same few models. An established homebuilder will have a wide range of models for you to view. With 40+ models available, Cedarglen Homes offers everything from paired homes and bungalows, to traditional two-storey single family homes.

Opportunity for Customization

While each builder may offer a wide range of homes, it may be difficult to find one that encompasses everything that you want and need in a home. Cedarglen Homes offers the opportunity to customize your home. Most of our main models now offer a variety of new modules that you can swap out depending on what you are looking for (i.e. main floor bedroom, spice kitchen, different ensuite floorplans etc.). Select one module or a combination of them, and if you have a vision that extends beyond our pre-designed plans then come in and talk to our expert designers who will work with you to design your dream home.

Best Communities

Where you live is equally as important as the home you live in, making the availability of different communities a necessity when comparing home builders. Cedarglen Homes builds only in Calgary’s best communities that are created by well-established and renowned developers. We are currently building in Belmont, Cranston’s Riverstone, and Seton in Calgary’s SE; in Livingston and The Parks of Harvest Hills in North Central Calgary and The Rise West Grove Estates in Calgary’s SW.

Warranty

No matter how good a builder is, there is always the potential for small items to arise in the future that may need to be dealt with. At Cedarglen Homes we believe in building a quality home and we reinforce this promise with our Cedarglen Homes warranty package during your first year of occupancy. A Customer Response Team Representative is available to provide a connection to any resources required, and schedules 60-day and 1-year warranty inspections to ensure that everything is working properly. Additionally, Cedarglen Homes has been an accredited member of the Alberta New Home Warranty Program for over 27 hears. As part of this program, every Cedarglen Home receives a one-year builders’ warranty on workmanship and materials, two years on delivery and distribution systems, 7-year building envelope coverage and a 10-year structural warranty.
