In order to celebrate our incredible small business community here in Calgary we have partnered with local media company [51 Parallel Media](https://www.51parallelmedia.com/) to present an ongoing ‘Support Local Campaign’ throughout the month of March.  *The contest will run solely on Instagram* and will work as follows: Each Monday we will post a small business ‘Category’ on our Instagram. The categories for the month will be restaurants, boutique shopping, health & beauty, and home businesses. Everyone is then invited to comment on that Instagram post and nominate a local business in the category for that week (try to stick with independent local businesses - no franchises). *Note: You must be following both Cedarglen Homes and 51 Parallel Media for your nomination to count.* That upcoming Friday, we will make a post with all the small businesses that were nominated and let everyone vote on their favourite. The winning business for each category will then be advanced to our final round (to be explained below). The person who originally nominated the winning business of each week will then be provided with a $250 gift certificate to that business. If multiple people nominated that winning business, they will all be put into a random draw for the $250 gift card. After the four weeks are completed, there will be 4 businesses left in the contest (one winner from each category). We will then put those 4 businesses up in a post on our Instagram and leave it to our audience to vote on their favourite business. The winning company will then be awarded a Content Creation Package valued at over $1,000 courtesy of [51 Parallel Media](https://www.51parallelmedia.com/). This package will include approximately 3 hours of photography and videography plus editing time. This would be enough time to shoot some promo footage/small social media targeted commercials along with product photography and team/environment photos. There is also an optional 30-minute Strategy Session if the winning business is interested.  Cedarglen Homes is excited to spend the month of March recognizing and raising awareness for some fantastic local businesses.
