As I write this blog post, we are embarking on another holiday season contemplating the impact that the latest wave of Covid-19 will have on our holiday plans. We miss the experiences that have brought us so many wonderful memories in the past, and we now must move on to create new ones. In 2021, we saw many homebuyers visit our showhomes in hopes of realizing their dream of owning a new home, and we are beyond grateful to be a part of each family’s story. The homebuilding industry has experienced labour and supply chain issues that were universal throughout the industry and has ultimately impacted each home built in a different manner and magnitude. Whether it was the unprecedented escalation of lumber prices; the ongoing shortage of materials; or other supply chain challenges, we persevered with the support of our team, trades and suppliers, and development partners. It is through these same relationships that we have the privilege of once again being recognized as the [**Home Owner Mark of Excellence – Builder of Choice winner**](https://www.cedarglenhomes.com/cedarglen-experiences/awards) for our ongoing commitment to our homeowners, staff and trades and suppliers. This is the fifth year in a row that we have taken home this award – a feat we are incredibly proud of. I recognize that this is not the holiday season that any of us envisioned, and it is important to stay safe and find new ways to connect with our loved ones. I wish for you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and remember… please be kind to one another.
