On March 15th, 2019 Cedarglen Homes was awarded Customer Insight’s Top Award for Large Volume, Single-family, the Builder of Choice Award – Calgary. This award is presented to the homebuilder that achieves the highest score as surveyed by their homeowners, trades & suppliers and employees. When you pause to recognize the names of all the finalists, the future of homebuilding in Calgary is in great hands.

For Cedarglen Homes, this is the third straight recognition as the Builder of Choice. As a company, we have made a commitment to customer experience. This commitment has, in recent years, resulted in awards from JD Power & Associates and The Alberta New Home Warranty Program. So what does it meant to be The Builder of Choice? It means, meeting or exceeding the specific needs of homebuyers, trades & suppliers and employees resulting in an alignment in objectives and a great experience. The likelihood to refer is a strong statement that we have met or exceeded expectations. So too is true when our employees are asked, “would I recommend my organization to a friend as a great place to work.” Our company is built on a culture of a commitment to customer experience and this statement tells me we got it right, bringing on the right people, in the right roles. A couple of our highest scoring questions from our trades & suppliers were, “proud of the company and quality of work” and “promotes mutual respect with trade partners”. This is the foundation of our relationship with our trades & suppliers.

Committing to be a part of homebuyer, trade & supplier and employee surveys is a humbling experience. We love hearing about the wonderful experience’s folks have when they interact with our company. We also stop to listen to the feedback and view them not as criticism rather an opportunity to be better. Whether it’s about excelling beyond those we are benchmarked against or continuous improvement on our past results. That’s why we participate in these surveys.
