Building a new house can be a complicated equation that involves many different factors adding up to equal the right home for you. The right floorplan + the right lot + the right community + the right homebuilder = your forever home. At Cedarglen Homes, we do everything we can to make it an easy decision for you to build your home with us by acing all those factors. Industry standards are often basic guidelines - at best - to what you should receive in a new home, but when you build with Cedarglen you can rest easy knowing we build beyond the industry basics. One of the greatest things we do is offer superior standards so that you don’t have to worry about going over budget adding upgrades that should come standard with your home. These standards are referred to as our Essential and Enhanced specifications - also known as E2. Therefore, when building with Cedarglen Homes you can count on the following equation to deliver you the highest quality of home for your dollar:

Your Cedarglen Home = Essential Specifications x Enhanced Specifications (CH = E2)

All our homes are built to adhere to our Essential Specifications (previously known as standard specifications). This simply refers to a list of items that come with every Cedarglen house and are based on one appointed standard. To name a few, these can include (but are not limited to):

EXTERIOR FEATURES

  • Limited lifetime architectural shingles
  • Double 5” vinyl siding and engineered wood trim
  • Driveway poured the width of the garage
  • ½ horsepower, chain driven garage door with two remotes

KITCHEN

  • Stainless steel appliance package
  • Textured melamine cabinetry with crown moulding on upper cabinets
  • Soft close drawers
  • Full height kitchen tile backsplash

BATHROOMS

  • Medicine cabinets
  • Delta Lahara plumbing package
  • Chrome bath hardware

INTERIOR FINISHINGS

  • 8lbs carpet underlay
  • Selection of smooth skin interior door styles to choose from
  • 3 coats of one interior paint color (including primer)
  • Light fixture allowance and recessed potlights

EFFICIENCY STANDARDS

  • Triple pane insulating glass
  • Tankless water heaters
  • 95% high efficiency furnace
  • R20 attic and basement wall insulation

In addition to the Essential Specifications that each home has, there are unique Enhanced Specifications that are community specific. For example, depending on the community you build in you will be provided with a certain ‘allowance’ amount you can use toward customizing your kitchen cabinets or selecting your appliances. Additionally, in certain community’s laminate flooring may come as the standard, whereas in other communities engineered hardwood may be the standard. Talk to your Sales Representative to get a complete list of the Enhanced Specifications for the community you are interested in.
